Bravo. This new flu is apparently not any more serious or infectious than the ordinary flus we live with every year. Yes, people have died. But people _always_ die, every day. A little perspective!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite epidemiology student informs me that the CDC is not so concerned with the effects now, but is hoping that it won't become too widespread before schools let out for the summer. This would allow time for an effective vaccine to be ready for the next flu season.
